Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family.  This is an intermediate course and students must show proof of completion of NRA Basic Pistol Course.

This course starts with the defensive mindset needed to prevail in a life-threatening encounter.  Participants will then go through a series of drills that increase in challenge. Rapid-fire, multiple targets, shooting from cover, clearing stoppages, and point shooting are all practiced.

Students will complete live fire training and should bring and expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition.
